Wan-nari type tea bowl wan-nari chawan, ; Japanese, Edo period 18th–19th century. Stoneware bowl on a low, round foot; rough surface; partly glazed with white milky and grey-bluish glazes with numerous spots and drips, with gold lacquer veins. Fillings and gluing made with gold lacquer. Function: tea vessel chawan. Height 8.4 cm; diameter 13.5 cm; Japan., A ceramic bowl sits on a reflective surface, showing a weathered, uneven texture with visible cracks and repaired seams. The bowl's exterior and interior display muted tones of beige, cream, light brown, and gray with areas of darker brown speckling and mottling. A glossy golden-colored material fills and runs along some of the cracks. The rim is irregular and slightly chipped in places. The background is a soft, uniform gray.
