Vase, Chinese, Qing 1644–1911, 19th century. Celadon ceramic slender vase with a long neck and bottle-shaped belly; set on a metal base. The spout is framed with a metal ring decorated with acanthus leaves. Height 23.3 cm; diameter 11.5 cm; weight 1.5 kg., A pale celadon glazed vase with a crackled surface stands on a decorative gilt base; the vase has a rounded pear-shaped body tapering to a narrow neck and rim, with two ornamental openwork handles on the sides from which hang gilt sculpted pendants; the glaze shows a network of thin crackle lines in shades of pale green and off-white, and the metal fittings and base are a warm gold color, all set against a neutral light gray background.
