Continuous landscape decoration, bordered at the top and bottom with geometric and lambrequin ornament. 19th century, China, bowl, height 8.2 cm, diameter 6 cm., A cylindrical ceramic vessel standing on a group of small rounded feet, decorated with a hand-painted landscape scene in brown lines on a white ground, showing buildings with tiered roofs, boats on water, rocky shoreline, and vegetation; the rim and lower border feature decorative bands in deep blue with a wave-like motif at the top and a vertical stripe pattern at the bottom, and the interior rim shows a pale green glaze; visible colors include white, brown, deep blue, pale green, and a hint of tan.
