The tall, conical base tapers upward, smoothly merging into a wide spout. The entire vessel is richly decorated with plant motifsāleaves, twigs, and various species of flowers. In the center of the belly wall, on one side only, is a blank shield. The jug's handle is decorated with images of spotted animals with large ears and open mouths. A hinge at the upper edge of the handle indicates the vessel originally had a lid. Late 19th century, possibly Northern India or Iran; height 43 cm, weight 1795 g., An ornate metal vessel with a long, curved neck and bulbous body sits upright on a flared base, all covered in dense raised floral and leaf patterns; the surface shows intricate carved motifs, textured bands, and a sculpted spout that projects from the neck area, with a small decorative element beneath it; the piece appears predominantly silver-gray with subtle darker gray accents in the recessed details, and there is a soft neutral gray background.
