On the obverse, an invocation to Amida Buddha: Namu Amida butsu praise be to Amida Buddha; on the reverse, the inscription: Iki sugi tarinari kono otoko this man has lived too long. Signed. 17th century Edo period 1603-1868 Enpô era 1673-1681, Japan, Ômi Eshu province, tsuba, height 9.1 cm, width 8.6 cm, depth 0.3 cm., A round, flat metal object with a central tapered triangular hole and two smaller circular holes near the bottom, showing a worn, textured surface in dark gray and brown tones with areas of lighter gray highlights; a group of shallow carved marks are visible around the perimeter, and the overall shape is slightly irregular with subtle surface scratches and patina.
