On the obverse, an invocation to Amida Buddha: Namu Amida butsu praise be to Amida Buddha; on the reverse, the inscription: Iki sugi tarinari kono otoko this man has lived too long. Signed. 17th century Edo period 1603-1868 Enpô era 1673-1681, Japan, Ômi Eshu province, tsuba, height 9.1 cm, width 8.6 cm, depth 0.3 cm., A circular metal object with a rough, mottled surface in shades of grey and brown, featuring a central elongated triangular opening and two smaller round holes near the bottom edge, with shallow carved or incised curved lines and marks distributed around the face, all set against a pale grey background.
