Teapot, Islamic art, Turkish, Ottoman dynasty 1299–1922; 19th century; Turkey. Materials/format: vessel teapot, height 17.0 cm, diameter 10.9 cm, weight 320 g. Decoration: geometric motifs, plant ornament, zigzag, lambrequin., A metal pitcher with a rounded body, a curved spout, and a hinged domed lid topped by a small finial, shown against a plain light gray background. The surface of the pitcher is primarily silvery-gray with areas of slightly darker patina and subtle scratches. Decorative engraved bands encircle the upper and middle sections, showing a repeating scallop and floral motif. The handle is a slightly different tone of gray and is attached to the body with visible rivets and a small curved terminal at the lower end. The lid has a serrated decorative rim where it meets the body and a petal-like detail beneath the finial. Overall the object presents a smooth, reflective metallic texture with engraved ornamentation.
