Decorated with a negative openwork composition showing birds sitting on a rock. Edo period, 18th century, Japan. Tsuba, diameter 7.4 cm, thickness 0.38 cm., A round dark brown metal disk with cut-out shapes and irregular edges resting on a light gray surface, showing a few carved openings and raised rim, with visible brown and gray tones.
