Round tsuba maru gata of the mon-sukashi type, decorated with eight openwork coats of arms monami arranged around the edge against a background of a brass-inlaid stylized vine karakusa. Crossguard tsuba, Japanese, katana accessory, edged weapon. 17th century Edo period, 1603–1868. Material: metal with brass inlay. Diameter 8 cm; thickness 0.3 cm., A round metal object with a dark brown surface decorated with a pattern of gold inlaid floral medallions and interlacing twig-like lines, featuring a central vertical opening flanked by two smaller openings, and several circular cutouts each containing different stylized flower or petal motifs in gold on the dark background; visible colors include dark brown, gold, and a neutral gray background.
