Signed. Origin: Hagi, Nagato, Japan., A round dark metal object with an openwork design sits against a neutral gray background, showing a circular outer rim and an inner raised central section with an elongated central opening flanked by rounded openings. The open spaces are filled with a network of thin branching elements that resemble twigs or vines, and a group of stylized birds are integrated into the branches, some perched and some with wings extended. The overall appearance is flat and metallic with textured, slightly worn surfaces and fine linear details in the carved branches and bird forms.
