Thangka scroll doublet; height 38 cm, width 31 cm., A richly detailed painted scene fills the image with a dominant central figure in dark blue surrounded by swirling flames and ornate patterns; the figure has multiple eyes and an elaborate headdress and sits astride a pale yellow horse. Around the central figure are several smaller figures, some with dark blue or black skin tones and expressive faces, and animals including horses and a pale deer-like creature. At the bottom center a seated figure in lighter skin tones rests on a lotus-like platform framed by green foliage and flanked by a bird and serpentine forms. The composition is dense with curling flame motifs in red, orange, and gold, against backgrounds of deep blue and green with cloud-like shapes in muted gray and olive. Accents of pink, yellow, and brown appear in garments, ornaments, and landscape elements, and a thin border in beige and reddish tones frames the whole image.
