The pages feature intricate illuminated patterns in colors including gold, dark blue, green, red, and black, with elaborate floral and geometric motifs surrounding central blocks of darker script. The book cover edges visible at the sides show a worn reddish-brown leather, and the fore edges of the pages appear browned and slightly wavy from age. The spine area at the bottom center shows some wear and separation where the pages meet, and the overall scene presents a flat, overhead view of the open volume.
