Flanking the pillar are a group of stylized human figures and attendants drawn in black outlines with wash of pink on several faces and garments; the figures wear flowing robes and headpieces and have varied facial hair and expressions. Behind them are draped curtains and architectural elements with green, purple, and yellow washes at the top corners and a band of deep red across the top center. The overall palette includes pink, yellow, green, purple, black, and neutral beige paper tones, with visible brush strokes, ink lines, and areas of faded color.
