The top band contains a row of seated figures outlined in darker ink with red and purple backgrounds and beige faces. Below that are additional bands with larger seated figures wearing ornate headpieces and robes colored with red, purple, blue, green, and touches of yellow, flanked by narrow vertical panels of smaller beige and yellow figures on each side. Midway down the image a wide red band crosses with repetitive sketched faces and decorative motifs, interrupted by several rectangular purple-blue blocks. Lower bands repeat rows of sketched figures and faces in red and yellow areas, and the bottommost area shows a horizontal frieze of standing figures sketched in darker ink on a beige background. The whole illustration is bordered by a thin dark line and sits on an aged beige paper with subtle creases and small dark specks.
