Bronze helmet, 4th–3rd century BC, Italy, armament; height 26.5 cm without cheek guards, width 19.8 cm, depth 21.6 cm, weight 0.758 kg without cheek guards., A rounded metal helmet with a domed top and a vertical fin-like projection rising from its crown, the surface showing mottled dark green, brown, and black patina with areas of lighter green corrosion; the front edge has an ornate scalloped rim with a few arching cutouts and curved decorative ridges, including a small raised loop detail near the forehead; the lower edges feature attached flaps and tabs with worn greenish and brown tones and a small hooked extension on one side; the overall texture appears aged and uneven with patches of darker and lighter coloration against a plain light gray background.
