Bronze helmet, 8th/7th century BC, Italy, armament; height 46 cm, width 17.5 cm, depth 23 cm, weight 2.740 kg., A weathered sculpted object resembling a long-necked animal head sits atop a rounded, bell-like base; the surface shows rough, pitted texture and areas of encrustation. The neck and head feature a raised crest and a circular eye shape, with a muzzle projecting forward. The bell-like lower portion has a flared rim and a visible crack running down its side, and a rounded inner element is partly visible beneath the rim. The visible colors are shades of green, muted gray, pale beige, and hints of brown.
