The surface of the helmet and crest is heavily corroded and pitted, showing a mix of green, brown, gray, and dark green patina with areas of lighter and darker mottling. The animal head has a rounded snout and a raised eye area with similar corrosion and color variation, and a darker band around the base of the crest. The dome of the helmet is rounded and textured with rough corrosion, and the attached cheek guard hangs down with an irregular edge and a small attached decorative piece that is a lighter green compared with the surrounding darker corrosion. The background is a smooth neutral gray.
