Uneven firing — center of the gray color break. 332–30 BC; Hellenistic period, Egypt. Figurine. Height 3.8 cm, width 3 cm, depth 2.1 cm., A rough, irregularly shaped fragment of brownish-beige material with a textured, pitted surface sits against a pale gray background, casting a soft shadow above it; the fragment has a wider, bulbous upper portion that narrows into a tapered lower protrusion, and there are areas of darker brown and charcoal discoloration on the upper surface as well as a glossy patch of red and darker mottling on the lower section.
