Head of Harpocrates; unknown creator; Harpocrates mythology; Hellenistic period, 332–30 BC, Egypt; figurine; height 5.4 cm, width 4 cm, depth 3.1 cm., A weathered clay or terracotta fragment shaped like a human head, with a rounded face, closed or partially closed eyes, a small nose, and slightly parted lips, showing rough, pitted texture and surface cracks; the piece has irregular edges and what appears to be a stylized hair or headdress form extending from the top and sides; colors visible include shades of brown, reddish-brown, and small darker brown or black flecks, all set against a neutral light gray background.
