Hexagonal matrix for imprinting terracotta decorations, 1st–3rd century; Roman period, Tell Atrib; form; height 15.8 cm, width 15.3 cm, depth 12 cm, A rectangular tan-brown clay plaque with a shallow carved relief of a standing human-like figure centered on its front, the figure showing a head with stylized hair or headdress, facial features, a torso with suggestion of ornamentation around the neck and chest, and limbs that extend down to the base; the plaque surface is textured with small pits and rough areas and has worn edges and corners; a few symmetrical raised shapes flank the figure near the lower sides; the background around the plaque is a smooth pale gray with subtle gradient, and the visible colors include tan, brown, beige, gray, and a few darker brown spots.
