Mold for pressing a figurine of Ptah the dwarf probably made by pressing from a stone matrix. The head wears a flat cap, a wide face with long, thin mustaches or swallowed snakes; in the hands two oval objects feathers?. Legs are curled up. The upper torso is covered by a beaded necklace; otherwise the figure is naked. Technological grooves on both sides of the figurine. Small incisions above the head. The form is semi-oval, rounded at the bottom. Ptah the dwarf mythology, snakes, feathers iconography. 664–332 BC; Late Period, Egypt. Form. Height 2 cm, width 4.2 cm, depth 4.7 cm., A roughly rounded, flat object with a coarse, uneven surface in shades of brown and reddish-brown, with small patches of lighter tan and gray; the object sits against a light gray background and shows a few smudges of dark black and faded red on its lower area.
