Traces of white paint on the figurine's head. 4th century BC, Southern Italy. Terracotta figurine, height 15.4 cm, width 5 cm, depth 7.3 cm, weight 0.17 kg., A worn sculptural form resembling a simplified human figure stands on a clear rectangular base with a clear vertical support; the figure has an uneven textured surface with a rough, sandy appearance and colors of beige, tan, light brown, and touches of darker brown, with small areas showing lighter whitish spots; the head is blocky and slightly darker at the top, the torso tapers downward and shows irregular surface pitting, and the lower portion is hollowed and broken, revealing the inner rough edges and an opening that exposes the underside; the base and support are glossy and transparent and sit against a neutral gray background.
