Oil lamp, unknown Gaulish workshop, oil lamp, single-burner Roman lamp, Buchi type IX-b = Loeschcke type IXb. Lamp from a mold. Round vessel. Arms sloping outward, separated from the disc by a convex edge. Two bars arranged symmetrically on the arms. One vertically placed vice opposite the burner also from a mold, broken off. Concave, flat disc with one large centrally located olive hole. Medium-length wick channel, decorated with a groove in the center. Two small air ventilation holes at either end of the groove. Rounded end of the burner. Large wick hole. No charring. 1st century, Gaul, height 3.7 cm, width 10.9 cm, depth 7 cm, A single worn object resembling a shallow dish or bowl is shown against a plain gray background, with an irregular rim and a rounded body. The surface displays a mottled appearance with a mix of gray and brown tones, along with patches of tan and ochre. The texture appears rough and weathered with small pits and areas of flaking. There are a few raised bumps and shallow indentations on the exterior. The overall shape is asymmetrical, tapering slightly toward one end and rounded at the other.
