Black-finned aryballois lekythos. Large, ring-shaped foot. The body is rather squat, barrel-shaped with rounded shoulders. The neck is quite narrow, clearly separated from the body and the flaring rim. In the upper part of the body there is a slightly irregular clay-colored orange band not covered with black finish; on it, at the front, a rather carelessly executed meander interrupted with black paint. The upper part of the device is tilted to the left. Black-finned pottery, lekythos. Condition: minor chips, rim edge worn. 4th century BC 1st half of the 19th century noted, unknown place of origin. Vessel height 10.9 cm, diameter 5.4 cm., A single ceramic vessel with a handle and narrow neck sits against a gray background; the vessel is primarily black with a band of orange-beige around its shoulder that contains a repeating dark decorative motif, and the surface shows areas of wear and small pale flecks; the handle and rim also show worn black paint revealing the orange-beige beneath, and the base has a thin lighter rim with similar wear.
