Fragment of a transport amphora neck stamped with a Rose of Rhodes and the inscription Chresimou, ca. 280–ca. 220 BC, Rhodes; vessel stamped neck, height 6.8 cm, width 10 cm., A single clay object with a flared rim and tapered body rests against a neutral gray background; the surface is rough and weathered with a base color of light tan and areas of darker brown and gray discoloration, including some blackish spots and smudges; the rim shows irregular edges and a few pieces of torn paper or cloth in pale white and blue sitting on top; the body bears a circular impressed design with raised relief motifs and surrounding rings, and the lower end of the object is rounded and slightly darker from wear.
