Oil lamp, unknown Gaulish workshop role/classification of maker or workshop uncertain, from 2nd century Gaul. Lamp from a mold. Round vessel with arms sloping outward, separated from the disc by a convex edge. Flat, concave disc with an almost centrally located oil hole. Two bars placed symmetrically on the arms; third vice placed vertically opposite the burner. Long wick channel decorated in the center with a wide flat groove bounded by two convex edges. Rounded end of the burner; large wick hole; no charring. Traces of a faded trademark on the bottom. Type: Buchi type Xa Loeschcke type X oil lamp. Dimensions: height 3.3 cm, width 11.8 cm, depth 6.6 cm., An object resembling a shallow bowl with a rounded handle and a circular hole is shown against a plain background; the surface is mottled with dark gray and black areas and worn patches of off-white and beige, with irregular flaking and rough texture visible across the form.
