Small limestone stele with simple architectural decoration. Recessed epigraphic field surrounded by a wide strip. Simple pediment and acroteria. Remains of engraved guide lines made by a stonemason. Traces of red paint highlighting elements of the pediment and on the top and side strips in a metopic pattern. Below the epigraphic field a brownish rounded shape, unidentified. Side edges carelessly worked; back surface with very long tool marks. Object glued from eight fragments; upper part not preserved. Six holes for wall mounting, probably added later for display photographs show the stele mounted this way. Greek funerary inscription. Date: 30 BC–1 AD beginning of the Roman period. Possible findspot: Tell el-Yahudiya. Height 48.8 cm, width 27.4 cm, depth 2.7 cm. Maker: unknown., A textured rectangular slab with rough, uneven surfaces and visible tool marks, showing a mix of light colors including off-white, beige, and pale gray, with a few small darker brown and tan patches; the slab has rounded edges and several circular holes along its sides and corners, and it is set against a flat mid-gray background.
