Plaque with a schematic relief representation of the head of Bes. The crown has been knocked off, protruding ears, the beard ends in a straight line. Amulet plaque, Late Period, Egypt, 7th–4th century BC. Height 2.7 cm; width 2.9 cm., A roughly square, weathered stone or clay object with an irregular top edge and small protrusions on the sides, showing a worn carved face-like relief with raised rounded features that resemble eyes and cheeks, a broad flat nose area, and a suggestion of a mouth and chin; the surface is textured with pits and erosion, showing a mix of dark brown, gray, beige, and muted yellowish spots against a neutral light gray background.
