Sloping shoulders; belly is baggy, flowing into the base on a low foot. Pink kaolin ceramic mass Gempeler IA. Partially smoothed turning marks visible on the surface. Outer walls covered with polished red engobe. Egyptian sigillata/Coptic pottery; Egyptian imports in Nubia. 2nd half 5th–1st half 6th century; find from Edfu. Vessel bottle. Height 20.6 cm; diameter 3.4 cm neck, 11.3 cm body, 7.7 cm bottom., A single pottery vessel centered against a solid gray background, with an elongated rounded body tapering to a narrow neck and flared rim. The vessel shows a smooth, slightly worn surface with visible horizontal turn lines and a few irregular pale streaks and blemishes on its body. The colors visible are terracotta, light brown, pale beige, and gray from the background. The rim and base appear slightly lighter in color than the midsection, and the surface has a matte finish.
