In the center St. John the Baptist, dressed in an animal skin and a cloak, holds an unrolled scroll. On the left is St. Porphyry in bishop's robes; on the right St. Sergius of Radonezh in monk's robes. Above, on the axis, Christ Pantocrator is shown knee-deep in clouds, blessing with both hands. The icon is meticulously rendered with attention to detail; colors are contrasting—predominantly cinnabar, ochre, and green. Identifying inscriptions appear in the background of the central part. 19th century, Russia. Dimensions: height 31.0 cm; width 26.2 cm., A painted panel showing a religious scene with three standing haloed figures against a golden background, framed by a brown border with blue and red inner edges; the central figure is barefoot, wearing green and red draped robes and holding a pale scroll, flanked by two bearded figures in ornate robes and cloaks—one on the left wearing deep red and purple garments and holding a book, the one on the right wearing brown and gold robes with a patterned dark inner garment; above them a small seated haloed figure is depicted within a cloud formation in darker browns and greys, and the lower area beneath the figures is a dark green ground.
