Icon: St. Nicholas Mozajski. Orthodox workshop; Nicholas of Myra St.; ca. 270–345/352. The icon shows St. Nicholas holding a model of the city in his left hand and raising a sword in his right. The background is cut out, with an identifying inscription on the upper frame. The relief of the cast is schematic with extensive ornamentation; proportions are elongated, head and hands enlarged relative to the body. 1st half of the 18th century, Russia; icon. Height 6.4 cm, width 5.9 cm., A small dark gray metal plaque with a square frame featuring decorative interlaced patterns along its borders and a textured background, centered on a light gray background. Inside the frame is a raised figure with a rounded head and draped robe, standing on a small pedestal; the figure holds a curved object in one hand and a block-like object in the other. The metal surface shows slight variations in darker and lighter gray tones and subtle reflective highlights.
