Figurine of Leda with a Swan, A woman sits on a rock and feeds a swan standing next to her. She is dressed in a cloak that, thrown over her head and back, falls along her body, completely enveloping her legs while leaving the rest of her body exposed. In her right hand, resting on her knees, she holds a platter. With her left arm, bent at the elbow and extended, she holds it above the swan, which rests on her exposed hip, its head extended towards her. The woman bows her head and looks at the swan. The swan has outstretched wings. The woman's sandaled feet do not rest on the rock but dangle. The square base forms one with the rock. Cloak painted pink. Mid-3rd century BC, Myrina. Terracotta figurine; height 24 cm, width 15 cm, depth 12 cm, weight 0.56 kg., A close-up of a weathered statue of a robed figure against a gray background showing a worn face with closed eyes and a subtle expression, curly textured hair partially covered by a hooded cloak, an outstretched arm and hand in the foreground, and surface erosion and flaking revealing layered tones; visible colors include gray, beige, brown, white, and hints of pale pink.
