Figurine of Leda with a Swan, A woman sits on a rock and feeds a swan standing next to her. She is dressed in a cloak thrown over her head and back, which falls along her body and completely envelops her legs, leaving the rest of her body exposed. In her right hand, resting on her knees, she holds a platter. With her left hand, bent at the elbow and extended, she holds it above the swan, which rests on her exposed hip, its head extended towards her. The woman bows her head and looks at it. The swan has outstretched wings. The woman's sandaled feet do not rest on the rock but dangle. The square base forms one with the rock. Cloak painted pink. Mid-3rd century BC, Myrina; figurine; height 24 cm, width 15 cm, depth 12 cm, weight 0.56 kg., A weathered sculptural figure seated on a rough, rock-like base, shown in profile facing right, with a draped hood or cloak falling over the head and back; the figure's exposed arm is extended forward with the hand slightly open, and the legs are relaxed with the feet resting on the base.
