Bowl, Egyptian workshop. Mosaic glass bowl with flat bottom; walls widen evenly toward the top then narrow at a flat-cut rim. Made of thick glass using the mosaic technique with floral patterns in blue, purple, yellow, green, and white. Type: Isings form 1. Semicircular bowl; sagging on the form; 1st century, Roman Empire 27 BC–476. Vessel. Height 3 cm, width 13.5 cm., A shallow broken bowl with a jagged rim showing a pattern of concentric swirls and bands in shades of blue, white, brown, and beige, with areas of darker brown and black; the surface has irregular textures and glossy and rough patches, and a few chipped and fractured edges reveal layered interior bands; the background is a pale light gray and the bowl rests on a reflective surface that shows a muted reflection of the colors.
