Navy blue glass. 4th century, vessel, height 13 cm, width 1.8 cm, A tall, narrow vase-like object with an elongated teardrop shape and a flared rim, shown against a white background; its surface is predominantly dark blue to nearly black with areas of vivid metallic blue highlights and patches of lighter blue; there are a few irregular pale grayish or tan worn spots and mottling on one side; the form tapers to a rounded point at the bottom and has a smooth, slightly reflective texture overall.
