Alabastron, cylindrical belly, 4th–3rd century BC, vessel alabastron, height 17.4 cm, width 4.4 cm, origin unknown., A tall narrow vessel photographed against a neutral gray background, with a flattened rim and short neck leading to a long tapering body; the surface is predominantly dark, glossy black with decorative flowing featherlike patterns in yellow and light blue that run vertically along the body, and a band of undulating yellow lines near the shoulder; the rim and small looped handles show black with yellow edging, and the overall appearance is of a glazed, slightly worn object with fine linear motifs and subtle surface speckling.
