Translucent manganese glass; elongated ovoid body with horizontal ribs and an outwardly flaring rim; body blown in a two-part form, neck and rim freely blown. Outer diameter of rim: 3 cm; 2nd half of the 1st century; place of origin, vessel amphora; weight 0.024 kg., A small translucent vessel with a ribbed, elongated body and a narrow neck topped by a flared rim, shown against a plain light gray background. The object is primarily a deep purple to reddish-purple color with variations in tone that become slightly darker toward the bottom and around the rim. The surface shows horizontal ridges encircling the body and a vertical seam or central line running along its length. A short, irregular drip or applied piece of glass projects from the neck area, darker in color than the surrounding glass.
