Black-finished skyphos, Greek ceramics, Type B. Thin-walled skyphos with a deep bowl and annular foot. One handle mounted horizontally, the other vertically. Entirely covered with a high-quality, glossy black varnish; only the bottom remains clay-colored with decoration of concentric circles. Technology: Visible traces of turning. Small chips on the surface. Clay color 2.5 YR 5/6 red. Varnish color 10 YR 2/1 black. Attributed to Attica, 480–450 BC. Vessel skyphos. Height 7.6 cm; width 14.1 cm; depth 8.8 cm; weight 0.102 kg., A smooth, rounded dark object with a glossy black surface sits centered against a light gray background, showing a slightly bulbous body tapering to a small circular base with hints of brown and worn areas; a short horizontal handle-like protrusion is visible near the top of the body, and the surface exhibits small scuffs and subtle reflections in shades of black and very dark brown.
