Canopic box, Goluchów Greater Poland Voivodeship; Sons of Horus, falcons, jackals, Isis, Nephthys; grave goods, Egyptian deities; ca. 747–656 BC, Third Intermediate Period, 25th Dynasty, Egypt; canopic box; height 28.5 cm, width 22 cm, depth 29 cm, The image shows a rectangular wooden box with a hinged lid, painted with a faded pale background and horizontal bands of yellow and green near the top and bottom; on the front face there is a mirrored pair of stylized standing figures facing inward, each with elongated yellow arms raised, red lower bodies, blue and yellow garments, and heads rendered in different animal-like shapes with outlines in dark paint; the surface shows areas of chipped and worn paint, small dark spots, and a few scuffs, all set against a plain gray background.
