Hornakht's shabti, Back pillars, hieroglyphs, wigs, beards facial hair. Hornakht ca. 525–30 BC. Funerary figurine mummy-shaped shabti, standing on a base, back supported by a pillar/pilaster. Arms crossed on the chest, right folded over the left. In the right hand a long-bladed hoe and two strings supporting a semicircular basket on the back, slightly above the elbow; in the left hand a whip. Hands and tools are engraved. Head wears a long, three-part smooth wig. Beard long, straight, uniform width. Face with coarse features: roughly defined eyes, wide nose, prominent mouth with a slight smile. Right ear significantly larger than the left. Inscription carved in a single column on the front, extending from chin to feet; content unclear, names the deceased Hornakht and his mother. Date: 664–30 BC Late Period–Ptolemaic Period, Egypt. Type: shabti. Height 11.6 cm; width 3.1 cm., A small upright figurine stands on a rectangular base, shown from the back against a neutral gray background. The figurine has a rounded head and narrow shoulders leading into a tapered body with simplified arms close to the sides. The surface appears worn and slightly pitted with an overall pale beige tone interspersed with light greenish-blue patches and subtle brownish discoloration. There are a few darker spots and minor surface irregularities along the back and sides. The base supporting the figure is a block of muted orange-beige with a slightly rough texture.
