Ushabti Psamtyk-seneb, Wigs, funerary figurine, hieroglyphs, beards facial hair, Psamtyk-seneb ca. 747–332 BC. Mummy-shaped figurine, standing on a base, back supported by a pillar/pilaster. Arms crossed on the chest, right folded over left. Right hand holds a long-bladed hoe, left a pickaxe; handles of both hoes are rolled up at the ends. A bag is slung over the left shoulder on a single string. Wears a three-part smooth wig. Long tapering beard braided into a plait. Engraved inscription in one column on a pilaster: Osiris Psammetik-seneb born of Jerou justified by the voice. Date: 664–332 BC, Late Period, Egypt. Type: shabti. Height: 12.5 cm; width: 3 cm., A small upright figurine viewed in profile standing on a rectangular base, made of a smooth turquoise-blue material with areas of pale beige and brown discoloration; the figure has a rounded head with a close-fitting headdress that extends along the back, a defined facial profile, and a folded arm held against the chest; the body is elongated and slender with subtle surface spots and weathered patches, and the base shows traces of darker and reddish-brown staining.
