Amulet in the shape of a scepter topped with a papyrus canopy. Amulet; papyrus scepter. 664–525 BC; Late Period, 26th Dynasty, Egypt. Height 2.5 cm; width 1.9 cm., A single small object photographed against a plain light gray background, shaped like a long tapered spike with a rounded pointed end and a wider top that flares into a short collar beneath a rounded cap with a circular hole; the surface shows a glossy finish with a few tiny pits and imperfections and subtle variations in tone; the predominant color is bright turquoise blue with areas of slightly darker blue and occasional small spots of muted brown.
