Amulet - figurine of a lion-headed goddess. A lion-headed goddess, in a tripartite wig and a narrow robe, walks with a lotus scepter in her left hand the right one lowered. Presumably the goddess Sekhmet; may relate to Wadjit or Bastet. Grave good; Egyptian, Late Period, 664–332 BC. Material: amulet; height 8.8 cm, width 1.7 cm., A vertical turquoise and green small statuette of a standing human-like figure shown from the back against a gray background, with a smooth elongated body and visible arm shapes at the sides, a rectangular base at the feet, a rounded head with short ridged detail at the top and small ear-like protrusions, a speckled and pitted surface with darker brown spots and areas of weathering, and visible transitions between bright blue-green, teal, and patches of olive green and brown.
