Fragment of a necklace of amulets 26 pieces, Goluchów Greater Poland Voivodeship, necklaces, grave goods, tit knots, ankh life signs, various objects, beige to greenish in color, ca. 1069–ca. 656 BC; Third Intermediate Period, Egypt, amulet, jewelry, A necklace composed of a thin pale string holding a series of small irregularly shaped pendants arranged along its lower curve; the pendants are worn and varied in form, some elongated and rounded, some with slight lobes, one shaped like a cross, and one larger oval piece, all showing surface pitting and rough texture. The colors visible include shades of green, pale green, turquoise, off-white, beige, light brown, and darker brown spots, with the string appearing pale gray or off-white against a neutral medium gray background. Several of the pendants have small holes near their tops through which the string passes, and a few show darker green encrustation or patina while others are lighter and more chalky in appearance, with soft shadows beneath them.
