New Year's canteen, Goluchów Greater Poland Voivodeship. Flat round faience canteen with a narrow short neck ending in a chipped spout shaped like a papyrus capital. Decorated on both sides with plastic figurines of crouching baboons, elbows on knees and paws supporting the muzzle. A floral necklace is depicted in relief on both sides of the neck, and a hieroglyphic text runs along the narrow sides. Egyptian, Late Period, 26th Dynasty, 664–525 BC. Vessel; height 17.5 cm plus 1.5 cm base, width 13.7 cm, weight 0.37 kg., A single elongated rounded vessel with a narrow cylindrical neck and flaring rim sits against a neutral gray background; the vessel is predominantly light green with areas of pale turquoise and subtle brown spotting, and it features incised linear decorative bands and a vertical relief strip running down its front, with a small looped handle where the neck meets the shoulder.
