Ankhren's shabti, Ankh-ren name. Mummy-shaped figurine, funerary shabti, standing on a base and supported at the back by a pilaster. Arms crossed on the chest, holding hoes in both hands; a string in the right hand suspends a basket over the left shoulder. Convex tools. Smooth, three-part wig with ears uncovered. Facial details slightly blurred, large eyes, proportionate nose, straight long beard. Inscription engraved in a column on the front of the legs: The word spoken by Osiris Ankh-ren .... Date: 664–30 BC Late Period–Ptolemaic Period. Provenance: Tuna el-Gebel. Height: 10.8 cm., A vertical elongated figurine-like object with a rounded top and tapered bottom, shown against a plain gray background; the surface of the object displays a mix of green and turquoise hues with areas of brownish tan and pale beige patina, a textured and slightly worn finish with visible small pits and rough spots, and subtle linear ridges running vertically along its length creating narrow recessed panels on its front; the base is slightly thicker with a small protrusion at one side and shows a blend of green, brown, and beige tones.
