Painted by Elisabeth Louise Vigée-LeBrun 1755–1842, possibly with contributions by an unknown painter. Subject: young woman, torso facing right. She has loose, wavy dark blond hair and wears a light straw hat with a wide brim trimmed with a blue ribbon and bows; the hat's crown is made of white fabric. Her dress is navy blue and green, with a white shawl fichu tied at the waist. Background: grayish-green garden shrubs and trees; at right background a pedestal with an urn. Inscription: signature, on the lintel. Framing: gilded bronze frame with plant motifs; at the top a floral wreath armature, quiver, torches, bay leaves, and ribbons. Date/style: 1900, miniature. Dimensions: height 9.2 cm, width 8.0 cm.
