Half-length three-quarter male portrait, short wavy black hair joined at the temples to black sideburns. He wears an olive tailcoat or frock coat, black vest, black cravat with long ends fastened with a gold pin; gold chain and lorgnette. Background at right: reddish drapery and a column; sky with dark clouds. Miniature, 1848, height 12.8 cm, width 10.5 cm. Frame: gilt bronze, two frames with a half-bay leaf motif. Inscribed along the shore: Marszalkiewicz., A framed painted portrait of a man shown from the chest up wearing a dark green coat and a black cravat over a white shirt, with a dark waistcoat and a chain visible on his vest; he has pale skin, dark hair styled with sideburns, and a slight smile. The background shows a draped curtain in shades of red and a column area in pale blue and gray. The frame is ornamental and gold colored with decorative edging. Colors visible include green, black, white, red, pale blue, gray, gold, and flesh tones.
