Ca. 1770. Miniature, height 5.6 cm, width 2.9 cm., An open oval case with a hinged center shows a small painted portrait on the left side and a padded interior on the right; the case interior is lined with pale bluish-gray plush fur around each oval opening and darker gray fabric in the central recessed areas, while the exterior edges show brown leather and a small brass hinge and clasp. The painted portrait depicts a person with pale skin, dark brown hair styled high and long with a cream colored cap that has blue decorations, wearing a white dress with lace details and a bright blue ribbon tied at the neck, set against a dark, muted background. The visible colors include pale bluish-gray, dark gray, brown, cream, blue, white, dark brown, and pale skin tones.
