The woman is partly draped in flowing cloth and leans toward the child, who is perched beside her and reaches downward; both figures have soft, detailed features and curly hair. Nearby are a few birds, a rounded jug, and draped fabric, all set against a background of foliage and trees. The frame has warm brown wood tones with subtle gold accents and the ornamental ribbon is a bright gold color, while the central image is rendered in shades of black, white, and gray, with a neutral gray background visible around the frame.
